And not only Indians, but women from all across the world prefer to use homemade beauty products over factory made cosmetics. This is great way to look beautiful naturally. Using homemade beauty products over chemically treated and factory made products is a much better idea. The risk of allergy and side-effect is less and the results are marvelous.
Homemade beauty products are easy to prepare and apply. In this post, I am going to share the best homemade beauty regimens using natural household products. This will not only help you in attaining beautiful and flawless complexion but it will also help you in saving your money.
1- Saffron and Milk Mixture
Saffron and milk mixture is the best way to attain fairness. This also helps in making skin supple and soft. It is suitable for all skin types. You can apply this mixture on your face daily in the morning.
Ingredients- 3 tbsp Cold raw milk, 2-4 strands of saffron or kesar
Method- Take milk and put few strands of saffron into it. Let it work for 4 hours. Now wash your face with normal to cold water. Pat-dry your face! Now apply this milk and saffron on your face. Let it stay for 20 minutes and wash your face using lukewarm water.
2- Milk, Honey & Lemon Juice Face Pack
Milk is great for skin. It can naturally improve the skin complexion and skin health. The mixture of milk, honey and lemon juice is great for normal to dry skin. It can be applied once in a day.
Ingredients- ¼ tbsp Honey, 2 tbsp Milk and half tbsp Lemon Juice
Method- Take milk and pour it in a bowl. Now put honey and lemon juice in the same bowl and mix well. Now wash your face using cold water. Pat it dry. Apply the face pack and let it work for 25 minutes. Rinse it off using lukewarm water.
3- Lemon and Yogurt Face Pack
Yogurt works like wonders on skin. It is known to heal many skin problems. It soothes the skin from within and helps in removing the impurities. Apply it once in a day to see the visible results.
Ingredients- 2 tbsp Fresh yogurt and 1 tbsp lemon juice.
Method- Mix lemon juice and yogurt together in a bowl. Apply it on your face. Let it work for 20 minutes. Wash it off to get instant results.
4- Honey and Tea Water Face Pack
This face pack is a natural scrub that cleanses and moisturizes the skin from within. It also provides a fairer skin tone. Apply this face pack twice a week to get the best out of this wonderful face pack.
Ingredients- ½ tbsp honey, 2 tbsp rice flour and 1 cup cooled tea water
Method- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to form a thick paste. Apply it on your face. Let it dry for 15 minutes. Now wet your finger tips and start massaging on your face in a circular motion. This will help in removing dead skin and black heads. After massaging for 5 minutes, wash your face with cold water.
5- Potato Paste
Potato is one of the most common vegetables. It is very good for skin. It helps in getting rid from the sun tan and dark spots. It also helps in getting rid from the dark circles. You can apply this paste on your face twice a day. It is great for all type of skins.
Ingredients- 1 Potato
Method- Take potato and make the paste of it. Now apply this nude potato paste on your face covering all the tanned area and dark spots. Let it work for 20 minutes and rinse your face using normal water.
6- Dried Orange Peel and Yogurt Face Pack
Orange is a wonderful fruit that is great for our skin. Not only the fruit (the pulp part), but its peel is good for our skin too. After eating the fruit, keep the peels in a bowl under the sun and let it dry. These dried orange peels can help you in attaining flawless and pimple free face. Use it once in a week.
Ingredients- ½ bowl dried orange peel, 1 tbsp fresh yogurt
Method- Take the dried orange peels and grind it to powder. Mix yogurt with orange peel powder to form a paste. Now apply it on your face for 15 minutes. Wash your face and pat dry.
7- Milk and Turmeric Face pack
This is yet another amazing milk face-pack that has turmeric in it. It is like a ritual for all skin-conscious and beauty addicts. Turmeric is used for fairness since centuries. It not only improves the skin complexion but it also exfoliates and moisturizes it. You can apply this face pack thrice a week in order to reap maximum benefits from it.
Ingredients- ½ tbsp gram flour, 3 tbsp milk and a pinch of turmeric
Method- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Now apply it on your face and massage gently in circular motion for 4-6 minutes. Leave it to work for 15 minutes. After it dries up, wash your face using normal to cold water.
8- Tomato face pack
Tomato is known for providing fair skin and getting rid from the problem of sun tan. This face pack can be applied daily to bring a drastic positive change in your complexion.
Ingredients- ½ tbsp turmeric, 2 tbsp fresh tomato juice
Method- Mix tomato juice with turmeric to form a paste. Apply it on your face and let it dry. It would hardly take 10 minutes to get dried up. Rinse your face using tepid water and pat dry. You can also use fresh tomato pulp in place of tomato juice.
9- Oats face pack
Oats are healthy for our body. But very few people know that oats are great for our skin too. Oats helps in reducing inflammation and redness of the skin. It also heals the skin rashes, tan marks and pimple marks. You can apply this face mask once or twice in a week.
Ingredients- 1 tbsp oats, 1 tbsp lemon juice and water
Method- Cook the oats and mash them. Now add lemon juice and water to it to form a thick paste. Mix well. Apply the paste on your face and massage in circular motions with light hands. Don’t rub it vigorously. Let it work for 15-20 minutes. Rinse and pat dry!

But as they say, too much of everything is bad! You should not try all of the above mentioned regimens together as they may cause skin inflammation or rashes.
